Need Help? Start by calling Access to Care

Partners BHM offers a 24 hours a day, seven day a week Customer Services phone line known as Access to Care. The staff answering this phone line are specially trained in gathering information about your concerns. You will be offered a choice of providers in the community who will best meet your needs. They can help you with emergency situations, schedule appointments or provide information on community resources.

When you call Access to Care at 1-888-235-HOPE (4673) you will be asked some questions. This will help us find the type of services that match your needs. You will select a provider and we will help you schedule your first appointment.

Pregnant women who are abusing substances and persons injecting drugs receive priority scheduling. If you fit these criteria, then we will help you find an appointment as soon as possible.

If you are currently getting services, your provider will give you a phone number to call for crisis situations. If you have lost the number, call Access to Care at 1-888-235-HOPE (4673) and we will give you the information you need to contact your provider.

IF you have a life-threatening situation, call 911. You do not need to call the Access Call Center first. A life-threatening emergency is when you or another responsible person thinks you need care immediately so that you or someone else does not get hurt. If you think you have a life-threatening emergency call 911 and/or go to an Emergency Room at your local Hospital.

Mental health emergencies can be serious but do not always require an evaluation at the emergency room of a hospital. Most emergencies can be handled by calling the Access Call Center at 1-888-235-HOPE or by calling your current service provider or your doctor. In an emergency, your behavioral healthcare provider should speak to you immediately. They should listen to your concerns, and either direct you on what to do or arrange for you to receive emergency care.
